Concurrent vs Named Users

Unlike most software that charges per named user (everyone who might use it), Ostendo licences concurrent users (those using it at the same time).

Most businesses find their concurrent user count is 25-40% of total staff who access the system:

10 staff → typically 3-5 concurrent
25 staff → typically 6-10 concurrent
50 staff → typically 12-20 concurrent

PLEASE NOTE: You don't need to include the Fully Managed Cloud Hosting if you intend to run On-Premise, or host Ostendo on your preferred hosting platform. Your Ostendo consultant can provide advice on the best fit option and the exact pricing.

Our mobility app (Android & iOS) and API use just 1 concurrent user licence — enabling unlimited mobility users and third-party integrations (e-commerce, external apps).

We offer two pricing models to fit your needs: 5-user packs provide the best per-user value for growing teams, while individual licenses offer flexibility when you only need to add a user or two. The right choice depends on your growth pattern—we'll help you find what works best.

Additional Information

  • Both options are invoiced annually
  • You can upgrade at any time, downgrades are done at the licence anniversary (as the licence is always for the year ahead)
  • You can mix the 5 user pack with individual licences, however it's more likely the extra 5 user pack is more economical

For businesses wanting hassle-free hosting, Cassini Cloud offers the Ostendo Database Service: a fully managed infrastructure that eliminates the need to maintain your own server. Simply connect from anywhere in the world and your database is ready—maintained, backed up, and always available. The service includes:

  • Daily backup of the customer databases (7 day rolling basis)
  • Monthly backup of the customer databases (3 month rolling basis)
